Kristallnatten or the Night of Broken Glass…

Yesterday it was a memory manifestation in Gothenburg and in other places in Sweden, just to show that we don’t want to have racist or fascist on our streets (or in our parliaments…) and that we have to remind us of our history…

Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, also known as Reichskristallnacht, Pogromnacht, and Novemberpogrome, was a pogrom or series of attacks against Jews throughout Nazi Germany and parts of Austria on November 9–10, 1938.

Kristallnatten, Natten av krossat glas, kallas natten mellan 9 november och 10 november 1938 i Tyskland, då beväpnade grupper från nazistpartiet iscensatte en landsomfattande pogrom. Ett hundratal (tusental) judar dödades, 20 000–30 000 arresterades och fördes till koncentrationsläger, 267 synagogor brändes och över 7 500 butiker vandaliserades.
